We have just launched our website and have already received our very first donation! Thank you very much! As promised, I will always give you a detailed and up-to-date report about every investment made with your donations. From our very first donation (10 USD), I have been able to organize an unforgettable day full of fun for the children.
I wanted to thank them for their cooperation during the filming of our short movie, so I bought colours for face-painting and transformed every single child into a wild animal of their choosing. It was their first time being painted and there are a few words that could describe the children‘s joy and happiness. It is unbelievable how a small amount of money can have such an impact on 50 children. Below you can take a look at some pictures from that gorgeous day!

Toys from Europe have finally arrived today! What an excitement among the children. Everyone was so keen on learning how to play the new games. We have already mastered the memory game, Mikado, Domino, some cards games, Ludo, Old Maid and chess. The small cars were the highlight , our boys are literally fighting for them. In the end of the day, we have tried to play Badminton with the children. It was a wonderful experience to teach the children all these games. They love them. Thank you so much!

Thanks to the British organization "Deafway" we were able to take our children and our staff for a trip around Uganda! At first we have visited the fascinating airport in Entebbe, where most of the children have seen an aircraft for their first time in their lives. It was spectacular! Afterwards we took the children to the Entebbe Zoo, where they saw all kinds of animals. We are very grateful to the organization Deafway which made this day happen. A great meal at the end of our journey made our day even more unforgettable!!!

We have visited the home of Vianey and Peter today. It was an amazing and unforgettable experience. Their parents welcomed us with a great and heart-warming hospitality. Vianey and Peter were proud of showing us their homes and were excited to introduce us to their family members. It is very important to see the conditions our students have to face at home during holiday. We have talked with both families for almost an hour and have reminded them to learn the basics of sign language in order to be able to understand and to communicate with their child. It was shocking to see the poverty these families have to cope with. We are happy that they have sent their children to our school! We can give them a future!

A miracle happened! When we received the news from Internat Solling we could hardly believe it. Most of our staff members had almost tears in their eyes. We thought it might be a dream....but luckily it wasn't. The German boarding school Internat Solling has raised 13.500 EUR for St. Anthony's School for the Deaf. It is difficult to express our gratitude in words. With all the donations we have received the lives of our children are going to change. Thank you for making the world a better place... Our dream of connecting St. Anthony's School for the Deaf to electric power is going to become true!!!

It is our humble honor to inform you all that we have raised 3.058 GBP from 54 individuals and 13.500 Euros from a charity sporting event organized by Internat Solling. This outpouring of support enables us to embark on our first project at St. Anthony's School for the Deaf: the dining hall. All of the children, and those of us working on these projects, thank you and know that you have helped make an impact on each child’s future through your support. They are beaming with excitement at the prospect of having the new dining facility. You’ve given them hope. Please continue to share our video as we begin to plan the next project: Electricity for our school.

We are proud to share with you and the world that our first project, the dining hall, is finally finished! Watch the video and see how the lives of our children have changed! Thanks to your donations and your outrageous support we have been able to transform the dining hall into a very cosy and good-looking facility. The children have a big room now, where they can hide from the tiresome african heat and enjoy their day with plenty of games, hammocks and very comfortable sofas!
This whole project and its work did not cost more than 1.020 GBP. The whole „Dining Hall Project“ did not cost more than 1.020 GBP. The remaining amount will be used for our next major project: Electric power for our school!
Thank you so much for your trust in us! Thank you so much for making all this happen! Thank you for changing the lives of our children!

Dearest friends and donors!
More than a year has passed since we received many generous donations from all over the world. Surely you’re asking yourself what happened to all the money you sent to Uganda. After refurbishing the dining hall we promised to bring electric power to the deaf school. And today we are proud to announce that our goal was achieved!!! Thanks to Father Ssenkaayi’s efforts the school has a 200kVA transformer! This transformer was installed at the school’s compound and is connected to the grid of hydro electric power. The school has gone through an immense change! Finally, from now on our kids can learn and read books even at night, use modern technologies such as computers for their studies, watch television on weekends and benefit from the electric power in thousands other ways!
However, our most important cause is to make St. Anthony’s School for the Deaf self sufficient and give the kids a perspective in life. With electric power the school will be able to run machines such as a maize mill or a welding machine. The deaf children will be taught how to use those electrified machines. This new skills will give the kids an advantage in the job market and the school will have an additional income from the selling of the produced goods. Furthermore, the school will employ the children after their graduation so they can remain at one of the few places they call home. As you can see you helped us to make the world a better place!
All of the children, and those of us working on these projects, thank you and know that you have helped make an impact on each child’s future through your support. You’ve given them hope.
